The President’s directive to the National Registration Bureau to issue Identity Cards within three days of application should be implemented across the country.

Amani National Congress Leader Musalia Mudavadi said the order was not just for Jubilee dominated areas but for all counties, to bring level playing field in the August 8th polls.

Addressing a public rally at Busia polytechnic on Saturday, Mudavadi said they will not allow the president’s directive to be skewed towards Jubilee zones.

“Lack of proper services and bad leadership are as a result of those who do not cast their ballot,” he said in an interview on Kameme FM on Friday.

Mudavadi said the objective of the National Super Alliance is to ensure Kenyans register in big numbers as voters during the ongoing mass voter registration.

” Our common enemy are Jubilee leaders whom we want removed from power through the ballot with massive corruption under their watch. This can be made possible if Kenyans register in big numbers.

It is unfortunate that there are 120,000 identity card holders in Busia County who have not registered as voters. This calls for concerted efforts to have them register as voters,” he said.

On Thursday, President Uhuru Kenya said the government will process ID cards in three days to ensure all Kenyans aged above 18 register as voters.
