Families of victims in the recent Naivasha highway fire tragedy that claimed 43 lives have started receiving bodies of their relatives from the Chiromo Mortuary.
National Disaster Management Unit Deputy Director Pius Masai says it is only those who have positively identified their relatives through DNA that will get the bodies.
So far, 30 bodies have positively been identified according to Masai.
The horrific Naivasha tragedy occurred at Karai when a light truck transporting a highly flammable substance lost control and burst into flames in an accident that involved 13 vehicles – including a Land Cruiser transporting 11 General Service Unit officers.
