Migori County Secretary Oscar Olima has rejected the resignation letters of 25 county staff who had been found with fake academic certificates stating that they are not off the hook yet.
The county has rejected their resignation letters instead directing that they face disciplinary action to determine the next course of action.
According to Olima, the county has not accepted any resignation letters as that is not the proper procedure.
Audit by the Kenya Nationai Examination Council had revealed that 93 county staff had forged their KCPE and KCSE documents to secure employment.
The 25 are among 93 employees who risk being dismissed from public office and face arrest should they be found culpable.
