Insurance and Investment Company ICEA LION Group has launched an online platform that allows customers to purchase private motor insurance on the portal and get a digital motor certificate emailed to their inbox.

According to ICEA LION General Insurance CEO Steven Oluoch, the process takes about 5 minutes. Further, the portal also allows the customer to report a claim online rather than fill in forms and deliver to the insurer.

“What is unique about our portal is that it is we are the only insurer offering this solution end to end. This means that the customer get a quote, pay and get your digital motor insurance certificate emailed to their inbox anytime, anywhere in a matter of minutes” said Steven Oluoch – CEO, ICEA LION General Insurance.

The new portal comes just a few months after the Association of Kenya Insurers (AKI) issued a timeline for the delivery of the virtual certificates by its member insurance companies. The industry aims to phase out the physical certificate by mid 2020.

 Speaking during the launch at the company premises, Oluoch noted that the launch affirms ICEA LION’s legacy of delivering digital firsts in their product and service offerings .
