Kenyans want former Cabinet Secretaries Kithure Kindiki of Interior, Aden Duale of Defence, Davis Chirchir of Energy and Petroleum and 4 others including Kipchumba Murkomen of Transport, Rebecca Miano of Trade and Soipan Tuya of Environment re-appointed citing their good performance during their term.
This is according to research firm Politrack Africa. In the latest survey, 67% of Kenyans supported President Ruto’s decision to dissolve cabinet, while 71pc want ministries reduced to atleast 15. The respondents defended their strong desire for a smaller cabinet, which they believe could lead to better governance and accountability.
The research firm said the primary focus of the study was to assess the impact of the cabinet disbandment amidst widespread anti-government protests across the nation.
Additionally, the survey sought insights into the preferred composition of a new cabinet .
