Several passengers escaped death narrowly on Wednesday after a Modern Coast Bus caught fire near Mtito Andei on the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
According to Capital FM news ,Police said all passengers and crew members were immediately evacuated from the bus that was extensively damaged by the fire.
Coast regional Traffic Commandant Emmanuel Okanda said the bus was travelling from Mombasa to Nairobi when it caught fire along the highway.
Okanda said they have deployed police officers to the scene to assist in the investigation.
The company confirmed that all the passengers and their luggage are safe
